About Jen

Jenna Willett is a native of Denver, Colorado. For ten years, she worked as a Lead Copywriter for a Denver media agency. Currently, she is pursuing her ultimate dream as a traditionally published author. In 2011, she optioned a young adult manuscript to Envision Media Arts, a film, television and commercial production company based at Paramount Studios. She also enjoys writing short stories.

Besides writing and editing, Jenna is proud to call herself a book nerd. Like music, her taste is rather eclectic. Thrillers, historical fiction, YA, chick-lit, horror—you name it, she reads it. Some of her favorites include Gillian Flynn’s “Dark Places,” Laini Taylor’s “Daughter of Smoke & Bone,” John Connolly’s “The Book of Lost Things,” Andy Weir’s “The Martian,” and Ken Follett’s “Fall of Giants.” Check out her entire bookshelf on Goodreads.

Don’t worry. Jenna doesn’t spend all of her time with her head in the clouds or her nose in a book. She also enjoys fitness, spending lots of time with her beautiful nephews and niece, and wishing she could afford to eat more sushi. And, yes, she loves living in Colorado, but no, she doesn’t ski or snowboard, so don’t ask her which slopes to check out (though Vail is awesome for shopping and sipping cocoa while “people watching”). When writing, she must leave the house or empty it of chocolate, otherwise she will devour it all, and, inevitably, blow up like Harry’s Aunt Marge!

    1. Ha! I don’t even like going to the mountains in general during the winter. Too much traffic. I freak out when we get stuck in a traffic jam inside Eisenhower Tunnel. (shudder)

    1. Ah, thanks for the nominations! Very sweet. I know I’ve said it before, but it means so much to me when I find out others are enjoying my blog…I guess I’ll just keep ramblin’ on and on…and on 😉

    1. Ooh, thank you! What a nice thing to see on a Monday 🙂 It brings me so much joy to know my blog delivers happiness to others. That’s one of my main goals in life: make people smile (maybe even laugh now and then).

      Thank you again!

    1. Thank you! I’ve been a bit lax on the blogging lately, but I hope to get back in the groove soon…Can’t wait for NYCM! If you have any questions about it, don’t hesitate to contact me. And be sure to hop on the forum soon. People are already starting to buzz about it (eeeks!).

  1. The Book of Lost Things is one of those books that bring out my inner pusher. I’ve bought more than five copies of the paperback to press into people’s hands and insist, “Read this. You’ll love it.”
Fairy tales for adults? Yes, please!
