Welcome to Music Monday! As many of you know, music contributes a great deal to my writing process. Whether it’s a song’s lyrics, beat, rhythm, or tone, I find myself constantly inspired by it.

During the past week, I’ve been in love with “Good Girl” by Carrie Underwood.

As I move along in the 2nd draft of my manuscript, I’m getting to know my protagonist better and better. She’s quirky and fun, and has just a dash of edge and rebellion. So, to help me capture those personality traits, I’ve been listening to “Good Girl”. This song just oozes badass. And has a lot of energy. When I hear it, I feel defiant and invincible. They’re perfect emotions for me to use when I’m working on developing my MC.
If you’d like to listen to “Good Girl” for yourself, here you go!
What song(s) are you in love with right now? Which one(s) offer you inspiration? Let me know! I’m always searching for songs that motivate my writing.
I’ve always loved Underwood’s Blown Away. It always fits with my strong and hard-headed protagonists.

I LOVE Blown Away. In fact, I was debating between it and Good Girl for this week’s Music Monday. Very inspiring!
